Coconut oil : The advantage of coconut oil

Coconut oil is obtained from copra - dried coconut meat. The main ingredient of coconut oil is lauric acid, which has potent antiviral and antibacterial properties and thus protects us from many diseases. The only other source of lauric acid is mother's milk, and it is known that milk builds up the immune composition of the newborn child, so the importance of coconut is evident. Another important ingredient of coconut oil is Caprylic acid that encourages the development of "good" bacteria, especially lactic acid bacteria. Caprylic acid has positive effects on the treatment of candida and destroys parasites in the digestive tract.

The advantage of coconut oil over other oils are medium chain fatty acids, which are easily digested and absorbed into the human body, and does not burden the digestive system. These fatty acids do not threaten the blood, but rather directly carried to the liver, where it is converted into energy. It is because of the energy derived from coconut oil, the body retains the feeling of fullness longer. That is why coconut oil is an excellent choice for those who are struggling with extra pounds.

This valuable food assists in lowering cholesterol, enhances the absorption of important vitamins and minerals such as calcium, magnesium and iron. Regular use of coconut oil helps maintain the intestinal health, weight loss and normalize metabolism.

Coconut oil is used to help you treat a number of diseases:

skin diseases and wounds, Arthritis and rheumatism, insect bites, hair loss, gum disease, intestinal parasites, indigestion, viral and bacterial infections, malignancies, diabetes, impaired immunity, chronic fatigue, migraine, depression and anxiety, weakened concentration and memory, Parkinson's Disease, Alzheimer's Disease, Crohn's disease...

Coconut oil nourishes skin and hair-

Except for the health of the internal organs, coconut oil is used for massage, skin and hair care. It nourishes the skin, making it softer and more elastic, preventing the formation of wrinkles and age spots. In the massage of the limbs and joints, coconut oil has anti-inflammatory action. It helps with the gout, arthritis, rheumatism, joint pain and swelling. Coconut oil stimulates growth of hair, nourishes and regenerates the hair. Therefore, this oil is often used in hair care packs.

Purchase and use of coconut oil-

It is best to use coconut oil in its raw form as a way to get the greatest benefit from its medicinal ingredients.

However, due to its exceptional resistance to high temperature, coconut oil can be used for baking or roasting food - unlike other oils which drastically change their properties at higher temperatures and become cancerous.

At colder temperatures coconut oil is in solid state, so it is also called coconut fat, and to approximately 23 degree turns into a liquid. So, do not be confused by the fact that you will find somewhere the term coconut fat, instead of coconut oil. It is the same product.

When buying, look for cold pressed coconut oil, which has all of the above values. Avoid refined oil, which is much cheaper, but also deprived of the benefits of this valuable foodstuff.

The recommended daily amount is 2-4 tablespoons of cold pressed coconut oil. To make it easier to drink, you can add it to a salad or green pulpy juice.
