Do you know the importance of these colours in oxyfuel gas cutting
Colours play a very important role in indicating safety and precautions in the working place. In oxyfuel gas cutting the following colour codes are used for indicating the usage of gas cylinders and hose pipes that carry the gases .
1)Maroon
The colour of the cylinder carrying acetylene in oxyfuel gas cutting is maroon.
2)Black
The gas cylinder that is filled with oxygen for oxyfuel gas cutting is black in colour.
3)Red
The hose that is used to carry the acetylene fuel has the colour of red.
4)Blue
The hose that is used to carry the oxygen for burning of acetylene is blue in colour.
5)Orange
In some applications the acetylene gas is replaced by liquified petroleum gases like propane in such applications an orange colour hose must be used.
